GFD Chocolate Chip Cookies

   
 
INGREDIENTS   INSTRUCTIONS

6 Cups Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Salt
1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter
2-1/4 Cups Crisco Shortening
1 Tbsp. Water
5 Large Eggs
2-1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
1-2/3 Cups Packed Brown Sugar
1 Tsp. Real Vanilla Extract
3 Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips*

*Optional:
2 Cups chopped Macadamia Nuts &
1-1/2 Cups White Chocolate Chips.

*Optional:
3 Cups M&M brand candies

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the flour, baking soda, salt in a medium bowl. Set aside. In a mixing bowl blend butter, shortening, vanilla, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add the eggs, water and mix until fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add dry ingredients and blend only long enough to mix. (about 3 minutes). Add chocolate chips, nuts, or M&M's and mix with wooden spoon. Use a medium ice scooper (approx. 1-1/2 tablespoons) to drop the mix onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown in color, about 9-14 minutes. Yield: 4 dozen.

Don't forget the glass of ice cold milk!
