Captain Berg's Barbequed Beef

I use 10lbs of beef for firefighters. Leftovers freeze well and it tastes even better days later.

     
INGREDIENTS   INSTRUCTIONS

4 lbs Beef (not ground: whatever is cheap, but trim fat)

1 lb- 12 oz can of Tomatoes (don't drain)

2 medium Onions
1 quart of H2O (water)
1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
1 cup Catsup
1/2 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
4 cloves Garlic, minced
Dash of Hot Pepper Sauce
2 tablespoons pitted dates, minced (I've even used raisins)
1 tablespoon garlic, minced


Serve over good sandwich rolls

 
Mix all ingredients and simmer uncovered for 5-6 hours, add additional H2O as needed.
